Pennington School

This morning we made our first visit of the year to Pennington School. We continued with the theme we had started before half term and talked about different ways in which we communicate. Sarah got a text message just as we started to speak, she read it out to the children who told her what it meant. She asked the children for other examples of communication. I then sent Sarah a semaphore message and she replied in Morse code. This led onto talking about how God communicates with us and how we can talk to him. As last week had been Valentines Day when we think about love etc we asked the children how God shows us that he loves us. On the screen there are some odd looking shapes which I tell the children show us about God's love. The shapes slowly move into place to show a cross. Just before the cross shape forms the children guess what it is and start to put their hands up to tell us. We enjoyed it and I think the children did too.
