Croftlands Infant School

This morning Sarah and I did our Christmas assembly at Croftlands Infant School.  Sarah started by asking them what Christmas was and what it means to them.  A number of very good answers came back which included things like seeing family, eating good food, get and giving presents etc.  We then showed the children the Bible Society's Christmas video for this year - which tells the story of Jesus but does so in a 'Going on a Bear Hunt' style.  After this we pointed out that without Jesus there would be no Christmas.  I then introduced our song Rejoice with Us, then reminded the children what Sarah had said and that in all the rushing around we should stop and remember that Jesus is the reason for the season.  I then closed the assembly with a short prayer.
