Croftlands Junior School

This morning we took the assembly at Croftlands Junior School. We picked a topic from a new book we have bought from the Cornerstone Books and Gifts in Ulverston. Sarah received a text just as we started the assembly and it was all in text language so one of the pupils translated it for her. Then she sent me a message using Morse code so I sent her one back using semaphore. The children thought this was interesting and told us of different ways in which we can communicate with each other. Sarah then asked how do we communicate with God - and the answer came back as prayer - but Sarah continued how does or did God communicate his love for us. I showed a picture on the computer and asked them did they know what it said as the slides moved on it formed a cross which the children fully understood. Today to start we had sung Creator God and ended with Be Happy.
