Lindale School

This morning Sarah and I travelled down to Lindale School for the final assembly of the year with them.  We decided to continue the theme we have done recently about Daniel moving to Babylon so using some year 6 children to play the parts of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego we retold the Daniel story.  Sarah narrated the story and spoke Daniel's words using the drama we wrote and I played my usual part as the Babylonian.  Sarah then spoke to the children about the moves they will be making in September either up the school or to secondary school.  She finished with the verse from Joshua 1:8 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid for God is with you wherever you go.  She then linked into the song Great Big God by saying that God is with us holding us in his hands if we are up high or down below - he is everywhere.  After the song I closed the assembly with a prayer.
