BX Lesson 4 Crosthwaite

This afternoon I battled the floods to get through to Crosthwaite school.  It was lesson 4 of Bible Explorer.  It is the part of the bible when the people the Israelites demanded to have a king like the other nations around them so they asked Samuel to ask God.  It seems strange that they didn't trust God and follow his ways yet they asked Samuel to ask God??  Anyway we have heard about Saul, David and Solomon today.  Then we heard how the land of Israel was divided up never to really be a full true nation again as the north pulled away from the south calling itself Israel and the south Judah.  Next week the children will hear what happened to the north and then what happened to the south.  Again as always the children happily took part in the dressing up and the actions as I retold the stories.
