Croftlands Infant School

This morning Sarah and I went to do the assembly at Croftlands Infant School.  We started with Be Happy before I told the children the story of Abraham - how God told him to move to a new land.  Abraham trusted God and obeyed God.  I asked the children if they had ever moved house, relating back to times when I moved house as a child and then much older.  We all at some point move and we nearly all know where we are going which makes life a little easier.  But Abraham didn't know.  Sarah then linked this to moving within a school as we get older and move up through the school and in particular as the year 2 children go to the junior school.  We used the Joshua 1:8 verse to help encourage the children that God is with us and that we should be strong.  To finish off we sang Great Big God and finished with a prayer.
