Penny Bridge Academy

This afternoon Sarah and I with the 2019 Transition team went to Penny Bridge to do the transition lesson and the assembly with the year 6 children.  The lesson went well as we hopefully helped the children think about their move to secondary school.  Our assembly was a bout a family that was moving and there was a little panic about what to take with them as they made the move.  It was linked to the Abraham story in that the family didn't know where they were going a bit like Abraham didn't.  At the end Sarah explained that we all move on in life and most of the time we know what is going to happen as we know where we are going such as when the children move up a year, change class room etc in the case of the year 6 move school.  Using the words of Joshua 1:8 to encourage the children that God will be with them as they move.  We then sang Great Big God before finishing with a prayer.
