Croftlands Junior School

This morning Sarah and I once again joined with the 2019 Transition team as we delivered an assembly followed by a lesson to the year 6 children at Croftlands Junior School.  The assembly was about a move a family was about to make - we acted out various roles and gathered bits and pieces to take with us only to ask at the end - Where are we going? - don't know came the reply.  The drama was based around the life of Abraham and we focused on the fact that he was told by God to move on but didn't know where he was going - but put all his faith and trust in God.  The children on the other hand do know where they are going after year 6 - so we tried to encourage them with the words God gave to Joshua in chapter 1 verse 8 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid for God is with you wherever you go.  Following the assembly we did a lesson that was designed to help them as they make the move.
