St Peters School

On Tuesday morning Sarah and I once again joined with members of the 2019 Transition Team for an assembly and then a lesson with year 6 at St Peters.  The assembly had a drama in it which was about a family that was on the move, so there was lots of rushing about and panic as the 'children' tried to get everything they needed for the long journey ahead - except they didn't know where they were going.  This links into the Abraham story and how he had to trust God and follow what he said.  Sarah explained that we all at some point or other move on and in the case of the children they move up the school and year 6 move to new schools.  We encouraged the children with the words from Joshua 1:8 which says Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid for God is with you wherever you go.  After singing Great Big God and saying a prayer the assembly finished and we then worked with the year 6 children and helped them as they think about the move they will make in September.
