Burlington School

This morning Sarah and I went over to Burlington School for the assembly.  It was really good to see all the children again.  Sarah started off by asking what types of animals the children had she asked them to put their hands up as she listed loads of different animals - we had the usual dog and cat and a few other ones too.  Next she asked the children what their favourite Bible Story was - a number of children said the same stories but there was a variety of different ones from the Old and New Testaments.  I then told the story of the Lost Sheep using some funny visuals which brought a laugh from the children.  Sarah had explained that the stories Jesus told are called parables which are earthly stories with heavenly meanings.  After I had finished the story Sarah explained to them the meaning behind it which led onto how big love is for us - cue song God's Love is Bigger than a Burger.  After the song as the younger children were out and about and we had loads of room we sang the Chicken Dance.  I then closed the assembly with a prayer.
