St Marys RC Ulverston

This morning Sarah and I went to do the assembly at St Mary's RC.  It was so lovely to be back with the children they gave us such a warm welcome.  Sarah started the assembly by asking what types of animals the children like - she listed a few like dog, cat, rabbit, stick insect.  Then she asked the children what their favourite Bible story was - we had a wide range of answers for this one which was great. Next Sarah referred to the stories Jesus told she asked what they were called - parables came the answer.  Sarah explained that a parable is an earthly story that has a heavenly meaning.  She introduced the story I was about to tell about Cecil the Lost Sheep.  The children laughed as they watched the pictures on the screen about Cecil.  Afterwards Sarah explained to the children what the story means for us and that it shows God's love.  This linked into God's Love is Bigger than a Burger.  After the song I finished with a prayer.
