CroftlandsInfant School

This morning Sarah and I did the assembly at Croftlands Infant School.  It was really lovely to see all the children again after such a long time.  Sarah introduced our theme by asking the children what animals they liked - we have a number of hands up for dogs, cats, rabbits, fish etc she then asked them what their favourite bible story was this was to link into stories that Jesus told and in particular the one for today -The Lost Sheep.  I told the story and displayed the pictures of Cecil the sheep from the Lost Sheep series - the children laughed as the looked at the pictures.  At the end Sarah explained the meaning behind the story which was how much God loves us and like the shepherd looking for the sheep is overjoyed when he finds it God is the same with us. This linked into how big God's love is for us - cue God's Love is Bigger than a Burger.  After the song I closed with a prayer.
