St Marys Dalton

This morning Sarah and I went to do the assembly at St Mary's Dalton. It was great to see all the children again following such a long absence.  Sarah started the assembly by asking who had any animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, stick insect - the children responded by putting up their hands.  Next she asked what their favourite Bible story was - we had a number of answers like Easter story, Christmas story, stories of Jesus.  She then asked if they knew what the name was for stories Jesus told - parables, she explained what a parable is - an earthly story with a heavenly meaning.  I then told the lost sheep story starring Cecil the Sheep.  After the story Sarah talked about it and explained what the meaning of it was.  This linked into just how big God's love for us is cue song God's Love is Bigger than a Burger.  After the song I finished off with a prayer.
