Croftlands Infant School

On Tuesday Sarah and I went to Croftlands Infant School to do our Harvest assembly.  We started with Inright Outright.  Then Sarah talked to the children about time asking them what time they get up, have breakfast, have lunch and who tells them it is time.  We then played the 1 minute game to see who could count to a minute.  She then introduced an apple and asked what was inside it - seeds was the answer.  She asked how the seed knows what time it is to start and grow we displayed the apple cycle on the screen before linking to a few Bible verses which tell us that God put the seed into the fruit and He provides the right conditions water, sun, cold, warm, day night etc to make it grow.  Lastly she asked what time of year it was - harvest time.  She explained that at harvest time we say thank you for all the food we have grown but as we eat food everyday should we not thank God every time we eat something.  To finish off we sang Creator God and then I closed with a prayer.
