Low Furness School

This morning Sarah and I went to do our Harvest assembly at Low Furness School.  We started with a short song Inright Outright before Sarah started to talk about time asking the children what time they get up and who tells them to, when do they have breakfast, what time schools starts and who tells them it is time, when do they know it is lunch time... We then played the 1 minute game with them before I showed them an apple and asked what was inside it - seeds - so if it has seeds in it who or what tells the seeds to grow into a plant/tree and start to produce more fruit.  We had loads of very good and correct answers I then displayed a few Bible verses from Genesis which talks about God putting the seeds into fruit in order for it to produce more fruit.  I then asked what time of year it is - harvest time and explained that at this time of year we thank God for the food stuffs he provides for us - but as we eat food all year round should we not thank him every day whenever we eat?  To finish off we sand Creator God before Sarah said a short prayer.
