Dalton St Mary's

This morning Sarah and I visited Dalton St Marys school and took the assembly.  We decided to talk about harvest as it is that time of year.  So after singing Inright Outright (nothing to do with harvest) Sarah talked about time asking what time the children get up, come to school, have lunch and who tells them.  We then played the 1 minute game before I went on to talk about apples and asked who or what tells the apple seed to grow. I explained with a picture what happens in the apple cycle, saying that God designed the apple to have seeds in it that would produce more apple trees.  I referred to a couple of verses in Genesis when God created the world He put the seeds in the fruit and later on it says He provides cold and hot, night and day etc.  At this time of year we think about harvest and it is a time to say thank you for all the good things God gives to us - but we have food all year round so we should thank God every day.  To finish off we sang Creator God and Sarah ended with a prayer.
